Careers at Artscapy

Help build the future of modern collecting.

Artscapy is building the financial infrastructure for the global art market. We're bringing together technology, finance, design and art to create a better way to collect, own and unlock value from art.

If solving meaningful problems with exceptional people excites you, we'd love to hear from you.

The mission

We're building something that doesn't exist.

An artwork in storage surrounded by separate folders of paperwork, illustrating how collection services remain disconnected

Art ownership hasn't fundamentally evolved for decades.

A collector might work with one house to buy, another to value, a broker to insure, a private bank to borrow against a work, and a different house again to sell it. Each holds a fragment of the picture. None holds the collection.

  • SeparatelyBuying
  • SeparatelyManaging
  • SeparatelyInsuring
  • SeparatelyFinancing
  • SeparatelySelling

Artscapy is changing that. By combining technology, data and human expertise, we're building the home of modern collecting — one place where every part of owning art informs every other.

This is not simply another startup. It is the foundation for a new generation of collecting.

What we believe

We don't just build products.
We build around a philosophy.

At Artscapy, every decision starts with a simple belief: collecting deserves a better future. Our philosophy shapes how we build products, work together, make decisions and serve collectors around the world. It isn't a marketing exercise — it's the foundation of our company.

  • I

We believe collecting begins with curiosity.

Every great collection starts with a question. We build products that encourage discovery, learning and long-term thinking.

  • II

We believe knowledge compounds like capital.

The more collectors understand the market, the better their decisions become. Information is one of the most valuable assets a collector can own.

  • III

    We believe liquidity strengthens collections.

Access to capital gives collectors greater freedom to acquire, hold and evolve their collections with confidence.

  • IV

We believe great collections are built through relationships.

Technology should strengthen human connections, not replace them. Great collecting has always been built on trust, expertise and shared passion.

  • V

We believe culture and wealth belong in the same conversation.

Art is both cultural and financial. We believe collectors should never have to choose between the two.

  • VI

We believe collecting deserves a home.

Managing, understanding, financing, protecting and selling a collection should feel connected through one seamless experience.

  • VII

We believe confidence is the collector's greatest asset.

Confidence comes from knowledge, transparency and access to the right tools. Our role is to help collectors make better decisions throughout their collecting journey.

More than a mission.

These beliefs influence everything we do — from the products we build to the way we collaborate as a team. If they resonate with you, you'll probably enjoy building Artscapy as much as we do.

The people we look for

Less about your CV. More about how you think.

  • Curious

You ask the second and third question. You want to know why the art market works the way it does, not just how to work within it.

  • Thoughtful

You think before you build. You would rather spend an hour understanding the problem than a week solving the wrong one.

  • Commercial

You understand that good judgement has to survive contact with real clients and real money. You care whether the thing works, not just whether it ships.

  • Craft-oriented

You notice the detail nobody asked about — the wording, the spacing, the edge case — and you fix it because leaving it would bother you.

  • Obsessed with quality

You hold a standard that doesn't move when the deadline does. You would rather deliver one considered thing than five approximate ones.

  • Comfortable with ownership

You take a problem and carry it to the end. You don't wait to be told what happens next, and you say so when something is off track.

  • Kind

You give colleagues and collectors the benefit of the doubt. You disagree openly and without ego, then commit to the decision.

  • Ambitious

You want to build something that outlasts you. You're drawn to the size of the problem rather than the comfort of the role.

Working at Artscapy

Responsibility, close to the work itself.

  • Hybrid working

We trust people to choose where they do their best work, and we protect the days we spend together in person.

  • London HQ

A central London office and Artscapy House, where collectors, exhibitions and conversations happen alongside the work.

  • Small, high-performing teams

Teams stay deliberately small. You will be one of a handful of people responsible for something that matters.

  • Fast decision making

Decisions are made by the people closest to the problem. Fewer approvals, shorter distance between idea and reality.

  • High ownership

You own outcomes, not tasks. That means real latitude, and real accountability for what you ship.

  • Continuous learning

Art, finance and technology in the same building. You will develop expertise across all three by working next to specialists in each.

  • International outlook

Our collectors, partners and markets are global. The work reflects that from your first week.

What you'll help build

Ten parts. One mission.

Whatever your role or department, your work reaches the same place. A cataloguer's accuracy becomes a valuation. A valuation becomes a lending decision. A lending decision becomes a collector's confidence. Each layer depends on the one above it.

Meet the founders

Why we started Artscapy.

We kept meeting collectors who loved what they owned but felt underserved by the infrastructure around it. They could tell you the story of every work on their wall, and almost nothing about what the collection was worth, what it cost to hold, or what it could do for them.

That seemed solvable. Not with another marketplace, but with the financial infrastructure collectors deserve — the kind every other asset class has had for decades.

    Co-founder

    Alessandro

Spent years watching collectors make significant decisions on incomplete information — a valuation here, an insurance schedule there, nothing that added up to a view of the whole. He started Artscapy to close that gap.

  • Portrait of Emilia, co-founder of Artscapy

    Co-founder

    Emilia

Believes the experience of owning art should feel as considered as the act of choosing it. She leads how Artscapy is built and how it feels to use, from the first valuation to the final sale.

We're building the company we wished existed when we started collecting.
